About Us

From the artisan process of creating our chocolates to the packaging and presentation of our products, every aspect of our business is held to standards of absolute excellence.

Our gourmet chocolates are poured into custom-designed molds to make charming gifts, favors, or anytime indulgence.

Made from the highest quality ingredients, these chocolate covertures contain 100% cocoa butter giving them a richness not found in lesser quality chocolates. We use only fair trade chocolates for all our products.

Keeping that same concept, bringing awareness of an indigenous culture through the medium of chocolate, other products followed and Ashanti Chocolat's artisan chocolate line grew. Other West African representations include Okyeame Poma Pretzel Rods, Akan Gold Weights, and Anansi Pecan Caramel Patties to name a few.

Inspired by the people of Ghana, West Africa, the Adinkra Collection was created, a collection of sculptured Adinkra symbols with words of wisdom categorized as follows: Aesthetics, Ethics, Human Relations and Religious concepts.

For Serwaa Anokye, owner of Ashanti Chocolat, it all began in 2004, the idea of creating a collection of African-inspired sculptured chocolates sure to delight the young and young at heart. "I wanted to create a unique product rich in quality as well as being culturally significant."

Ashanti Chocolat's logo is Besa Saka "sack of cola nuts". It symolizes affluence, power, abundance, plenty, togetherness, and unity.

The cola nut played an important role in the economic life of Ghana. A widely-used cash crop, it is closely associated with affluence and abundance. This symbol also represents the role of agriculture and trade in bringing peoples together.
