Creamy caramels are hand cut, and covered in dark chocolate. These luxuriant creations are so rich you'll be tempted to put some aside for later. But you'll find that's impossible. Choose from creamy caramel, dark chocolate, raspberry, cinnamon chili, or Fleur de Sel. Each caramel is adorned with a decorative pattern and handwrapped.    

History... Originally, the wax resist dyed fabrics came from Indonesia which were then exported to the Gold Coast and spread over West Africa into Central Africa. During the batik process, hot batik wax is painted or stamped onto fabric, which is then dyed. After one or more dyeings, the batik wax is removed, revealing differently colored patterns and designs. Cracks in the batik wax give patterns the "crackled" look so unique to batik.

They became extremely popular and over time the Africans customized and personalized the designs. Nowadays they are primarily made in Ghana and have strong cultural, social and economic importance.

The patterns tell stories of relevance to the wearer, such as proverbs, poems and traditional African fables. The colors also hold significance as they can represent social standing, age, tribal orientation and marital status.
